16. Week 10 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Right now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a bit of a mess. Their team just doesn’t seem likely to be very competitive, and they have problems on both sides of the ball and in key leadership roles.

Notably, Dirk Koetter is one of the worst current head coaches in the NFL. When the Buccaneers fired Lovie Smith to promote Koetter from his offensive coordinator position, there was hope that he would turn around the team’s offense. However, instead, the Buccaneers haven’t progressed much and Jameis Winston hasn’t grown into the franchise quarterback that many expected.

Speaking of Winston, he is entering a critical season as well. In his fourth year, he really needs to step up and make more big plays if he’s ever going to turn into a true franchise quarterback. Also, he needs to be able to stay out of trouble, which is something that has eluded him during his time in the NFL.

To start the 2018 season, Winston will be suspended for three games following a 2016 incident when he groped an Uber driver. That will be a major distraction for Winston and the team, and he will continue to receive well-deserved backlash for his actions.

It’s fair to wonder if Winston will be focused on football during the offseason as he deals with the suspension. He hasn’t yet shown an ability to fully commit at the NFL level, and that is a major red flag.

These two major issues could hinder the Buccaneers offense. Additionally, Ronald Jones is merely a rookie, so the run game could start the year slowly.

Even though the Redskins don’t play the Bucs until Week 10, they should still have a major advantage over the Bucs. The Redskins defense should matchup well with the offensive weaponry on the Bucs, and they should be able to consistently pressure Winston, especially given how poorly left tackle Donovan Smith has played during his NFL career.

On paper, the Bucs are the weakest team that the Redskins will face. This should definitely be a win for Washington barring a drastic change in the fortunes of either of these teams.
