NFL Mock Draft 7.0: Round 1 of the 2018 NFL Draft
By Ian Cummings
The AFC South may be on the verge of kicking its own irrelevancy to the curb.
The Indianapolis Colts are on the uptrend with Chris Ballard at the helm, set to have a treasure trove of picks in this year’s NFL Draft. The Tennessee Titans are also improving. After a number of signings in free agency, they’ll look to take the AFC South next year.
The Titans’ bid for glory, however, will be met with equal pushes from the Texans and Jaguars, both of whom are being molded into very dangerous teams. But only one of them has a first-round pick.
The Jaguars can set themselves apart with this pick. Their team is nearly complete. The defense is one of the best in the league, and the team seems to have confidence that Blake Bortles can be a solid field general for them moving forward.

There are very few holes on the Jaguars’ roster, but the team is not perfect just yet. The offensive line is one area that needs an influx of talent. With Patrick Omameh now joining the New York Giants, there is a gap at offensive guard, one that Will Hernandez can fill at pick No. 29 in the NFL Draft.
Hernandez is a big-bodied blocker who moves very well for his size. He had a very impressive Senior Bowl week, and his NFL Combine performance was just as noteworthy. He killed the bench press, and showed off decent agility as well. With Hernandez on the front line, the Jaguars will instantly become a better offensive team. And in time, Hernandez could develop into a dominant player at his position.
