NFL Mock Draft 5.0: Could Saquon Barkley fall to the Redskins at No. 13?
By Ian Cummings
Harold Landry’s down year in his final college season will deflate his value, but the magnitude of such a move will likely be minimal. Landry was an incredibly disruptive defensive end in his time with the Boston College Eagles, and some team will value his nuance, burst, and polish more than other rushers. The Green Bay Packers are a likely suitor.
At 6-foot-3, 250, Landry would be a perfect fit on the edge in Mike Pettine’s defense. The Packers have long sought a presence to set the edge, and Landry can provide them with that.
In 2016, Landry accrued 16.5 sacks for the Eagles, breaking out as a surefire NFL prospect. His final season wasn’t as consistent, as injuries forced him off the field for much of the year. But at the combine, he’ll show that he still has the same burst and lateral movement skills, as well as his relentless hand use, and scouts will be reminded why they fell in love with Landry in the first place. He falls to No. 14 in the NFL Draft here, but that’s as far as he’ll go.
