The Washington Redskins need to find a true starter at nose tackle. Here are the best options on the 2018 free agent market.

There’s no position that the Redskins need a bigger upgrade at than nose tackle. The team has lacked a consistent, playmaking threat there for the past few years, and in the past two seasons, Ziggy Hood has played out of position to lock things down for the coaching staff. That can’t happen again if the team wants to truly be a contender.

Thankfully for the Redskins, the nose tackle market this offseason is fairly strong. There are several quality starters available on the open market, and there are also a couple of players who could be first round options for the team too. That said, guaranteeing that the problem will be fixed in free agency might be the best thing for the team to do.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the top three options that the Redskins should look at on the open market, starting with a potential option they could steal from a key opponent.
