2. OLB Ryan Kerrigan vs. OT Mike Remmers

The Redskins could use another strong performance from their pass rush. The rush linebacker position has been a major strength for the team this season, and they will have a chance to have another solid game. That said, the best chance to get pressure on Keenum will come on the right side of the Vikings offensive line.

Mike Remmers is a good run blocking offensive tackle. In pass protection, he hasn’t been very good. Right now, Remmers is also dealing with a concussion. There’s a chance he may not be able to play and even if he does, he will have trouble being up to full speed.

Ryan Kerrigan has to be licking his chops at this possibility. Kerrigan’s mixture of strength and athleticism should allow him to power through Remmers on certain occasions while using a speed rush to him outside. It seems likely that he will be able to beat Remmers on many occasions if the veteran is able to suit up.

The pass rush really is the key to helping the Redskins defense to succeed. As was the case last week, the team always has a chance to win when they rush the passer well. Getting heat on Keenum will be their top key to victory in this week’s contest.
