Round 4, Pick 16

Will Pick and Should Pick: RB Samaje Perine, Oklahoma

I was legitimately excited to make this pick. The Redskins need a potential workhorse running back, and Samaje Perine is one of the best in the draft. We ranked Perine as the No. 5 overall back on our running back big board, ahead of his teammate, Joe Mixon. The reason for having him there was due to his athletic ability and work ethic based off his value:

"I really think that Perine has the potential to be a difference maker at the running back position. He should get second round consideration for some teams, but he is probably a third round player. However, he could be a similar value to DeMarco Murray, who was a former third round pick by the Dallas Cowboys. Perine is better between the tackles though, but struggles more as a receiver, unlike Murray."

Granted, they are not similar players, but the value is here with Perine in the fourth round. He could be a starter from the get go and really may help the team.

Dark Horse: TE Jake Butt, Michigan

This is a loaded tight end class, and Jake Butt was still on the board here. If I was not so crazy about Perine, Butt probably would have gotten a stronger look from the team. Still, this is the first major offensive pick of the draft for the Redskins, so they have to land an impact player. Butt would certainly qualify.
