Eagles Outlook For 2017

The Eagles look like they should be a stronger team. At the same time, I am not sure that they are ready to compete for a Wild Card spot. They are still behind some of the other fringe teams in the NFC, and Wentz needs another year of development. He also could endure a sophomore slump as he adjusts to his new receiving weapons.

Defensively the team is still not quite there. They are missing enough talent at the cornerback position to match up effectively with the other offenses in the NFC East. They will have issues defeating the better quarterbacks in the league as a result.

All in all, this Eagles team looks like one that should hover around .500. They possess a lot of offensive talent and upside, but they are not quite ready for the spotlight. I would expect them to win between 7 and 9 games and then have a better shot at the playoffs in 2018.
