Look no further than Perkins, who may be one of the most underrated players of the 2016 draft class. While many scouts are concerned about his wiry frame and lack of power, it’s hard to deny the natural abilities that Perkins possesses when you play the film. The UCLA product simply knows how to run the football, using excellent vision, burst and lateral quickness to make defenders look silly.

Perkins may not be suited for a featured role in the NFL like he filled with the Bruins, but he’s a talent that demands touches. Teamed with Jones, he could help turn the Redskins’ running game around while taking the pressure off of Kirk Cousins to carry the D.C. offense. It’s an ideal fit, especially when it only costs a fourth-round pick.

Running Back, UCLA

All signs point to the Redskins letting Alfred Morris test free agency this offseason, which would leave only sophomore Matt Jones as a true contender for the starting role. That’s not a very promising scenario considering how inconsistent he was as a rookie, which means Washington will be looking for a capable runner who can spell him–or steal the starting job.
