2016 NFL Draft: Washington Redskins’ Seven-Round Mock 4.0
One name worth keeping an eye on is Murray, who was one half of the nation’s best cornerback duo in 2015. The Minnesota product is an exciting, well-rounded talent capable of handling No. 2 duties at the next level. Although he’s not much of a ballhawk and won’t help the Redskins create extra turnovers, Murray offers a great combination of size, speed and technique in coverage.
One way or another, Washington needs to add more talent at cornerback. While they’ll likely attempt to address the position during free agency, drafting a quality prospect like Murray would give them a developmental talent who can blossom into a starter with time and proper coaching. It also helps that he’s a willing run defender.

Eric Murray
Cornerback, Minnesota
It’s no secret that the Redskins need help at cornerback heading into 2016. Obviously they’re set with Bashaud Breeland as one of the starters, but Chris Culliver is coming off of an ACL tear and may not even be retained. Will Blackmon is headed for free agency, and Quinton Dunbar is still a work in progress. That’s why adding more capable contributors should be a priority this offseason.
