59.
With Olivier Vernon headed for free agency and Cameron Wake on the downslope of his NFL career, it’s time for the Dolphins to start finding more talent to get after opposing quarterbacks. Luckily, there are a number of talented defensive ends available at this point with the capability of racking up significant sacks early in their careers. Enter Buckner.

While he isn’t the prototypical 4-3 defensive end, Buckner is an outstanding athlete for his size and does a great job of wrecking offensive linemen with impressive strength, length and flexibility. Although he will struggle with his height, he does a great job of using his long arms to fend off blockers and track down ball carriers.

The general consensus is that Buckner is a Top-10 talent with Top-5 potential, so the Dolphins wouldn’t have any issues with pulling the trigger on the Oregon edge rusher here. He brings outstanding versatility and tenacity along the defensive line, and would help make up for any losses Miami incurs this offseason. Plus, you can never have too many talented pass rushers in today’s NFL.
. Defensive End. Oregon. DeForest Buckner. 8. player
