25. player. 55.
This past season, one of the Steelers’ biggest weaknesses was their pass defense. Look no further than Antwon Blake, who finished the year as one of the absolute worst starting cornerbacks in the NFL, according to ProFootballFocus. Pittsburgh must find ways to make improvements in the secondary heading into 2016, and one way to do so is drafting a player like Apple.

With Apple, the Steelers would be getting a cornerback with excellent speed and the length that NFL teams look for these days. However, he’s going to need to learn some more discipline if he’s going to succeed at the next level–he’s got a tendency to use his hands a little too much. Still, there’s no denying his mix of size and aggressiveness make him a name worth knowing moving forward.

Pittsburgh loves its aggressive, physical cornerbacks, and Apple is certainly one of those. He routinely disrupts receivers at the line, and does a great job of playing the run as well. If the Steelers want to see improvement in their pass defense throughout the 2016 campaign, adding a quality cornerback like Apple to the mix would be a wise move.
. Cornerback. Ohio State.
