Reggie Ragland. 19. player. 16.
Rex Ryan is known for his defenses, but the Bills fielded one of the NFL’s most ineffective linebacking groups in 2015. Although they offered capable play from time to time, the starting group of Nigel Bradham, Preston Brown and Manny Lawson were mostly subpar. Lawson shined in coverage and made plays against the run, but wasn’t the pass rusher many expected. As for Brown and Bradham, they were inept in just about every aspect of the position.
<div class=. Inside Linebacker. Alabama

Based on that information, it’s clear that a serious upgrade is needed somewhere. Bringing Ragland into the mix would upgrade the group in a big way, and give them a true driving force for Ryan’s defense. The Alabama product brings big hitting, instinctive play and sneaky athleticism to the position. It’s a match made in heaven, especially with the way Ryan brings the best out in his elite talents.

While Ragland is, in my opinion, a Top-15 talent, it’s understandable for him to fall a bit due to positional value. In this situation, it’s a blessing in disguise for the Bills, who would be smiling from ear to ear to see the class’ best inside linebacker fall to them at No. 19. This pick would prove to be a steal over the next few years.
