The offseason can be an exciting and tumultuous time for NFL teams. That’ll be exactly the case for the Washington Redskins in 2016, especially when it comes to the financial side of things.

The Redskins go into 2016 facing a number of tough decisions from a salary cap standpoint. There are several important players who must be re-signed, several potential cap casualties who can’t be ignored and, in general, the team must find more room under the cap. If that means making difficult cuts, then so be it.

To help you understand some of the issues facing the Redskins this offseason, I’ve decided to take a look at five of their biggest salary cap questions. They’re all issues you’ve probably heard mentioned a time or two around the blogosphere, and there’s a reason why. Unless these questions are addressed (and addressed correctly) it could mean a trip back to the bottom of the NFC East barrel for Washington.
