Grading the Redskins’ 2014 NFL Draft Class After Two Seasons
Round 3: G Spencer Long
Grade: B+
The Redskins were looking for a reliable starter at guard when they drafted Long, and they found exactly that. This last year was his first as a starter, and he put together an admirable showing despite his lack of experience in the NFL. Like most players with only two years under their belts, Long still has plenty of room to grow into his role. However, based on the early returns, there’s no reason to believe that the Nebraska product can’t develop into a decade-long starter in Washington.
