5. Have good Pass Protection

The Redskins have invested some high round draft picks over the past few seasons to improve the talent on their offensive line.  They used their number five pick this year on guard Brandon Scherff and last year they used third round picks on tackle Morgan Moses and guard Spencer Long.

All of those players will see action against the Cleveland Browns and Moses and Scherff will be under the microscope especially.  Moses has been named the starter at right tackle and his progress in training camp is one of the things that helped the Redskins decide to move Scherff from tackle to guard.

But now Moses needs to show that he can handle being a starter and be consistent in pass protection, something that he was not able to do last season.  With Trent Williams on the other side, teams will more than likely attack Moses more frequently and hopefully he’s up to the challenge.

If the Redskins are to put points up on the board early in this game then quarterback Robert Griffin III will need time in the pocket to find the open receivers.  The Browns have a good pas rusher in Paul Kruger who should offer a challenge to Moses and he needs to rise up to it.
