Andre Roberts vs Jamison Crowder

Andre Roberts is widely seen by the fans and coaches are a big free agent bust, mostly due to his propensity for drops especially in big situations. He did have a good season as a kick returner, but his punt returning was subpar.

Andre is in a similar situation as Alfred Morris: Scot McCloughan didn’t acquire him and while Morris is in a walk year, Roberts’ contract is easy to dump after 2015. To show how much McCloughan thinks of him, he drafted Jamison Crowder in round 4: a WR with a nearly identical skill set as Roberts. However, there’s a complication.

On Jamison Crowder’s instagram account, a woman allegedly his ex-girlfriend posts pictures of her bruised face claiming to have been abused by Crowder on numerous occasions. Crowder has been silent on this, his agent has denied the accusations and the Redskins have essentially no commented the whole subject.

Crowder could be beating Roberts throughout camp and the preseason, only to be suspended by the league and released by McCloughan.

While this abuse allegation is out there uninvestigated by the NFL or any local police, it’s hard to say what’s going to happen. Crowder could be beating Roberts throughout camp and the preseason, only to be suspended by the league and released by McCloughan.
