2013 – Ezekiel Ansah, DE – Detroit Lions

Ezekiel Ansah was taken by the Detroit Lions as replacement at defensive end for Cliff Avril, who left the team in free agency.  And Ansah has done a good job so far in taking over for Avril as he’s provided the Lions with a steady pass rushing presence over the past few seasons.

Ansah has had 15.5 sacks combined in 2013 and 2014 and he has the potential to be a double-digit quarterback sacker for the Lions in seasons to come.  According to Pro Football Focus Ansah was ranked 5th out 59 qualifiers at 4-3 defensive end in 2014.

Grade: B – I would say Ezekiel Ansah has lived up to his billing of a top five draft pick so far and the grade will go up higher is he can become a double-digit sack threat consistently for the Lions.
