Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals safety Gerod Holliman (8) returns an interception against the Kentucky Wildcats during the second half at Papa John

2015 NFL Scouting Combine:   2/17/15 – 2/23/15 – NFL Network

Defensive backs – Work out on 2/23/15

6.  Gerod Holliman, FS – Louisville  (6-0, 201) Projected Round – 3rd. Gerod Holliman led the NCAA is interceptions in 2014 and is very impressive in pass coverage.  He’s a ball hawk and has a nose for being in the right at the right time.  However, he’s liability against the run, and at times seems to shy away from contact.  This is why he’s rated as a third round pick right now.

What to Watch for?  3-cone drill and 40-yard dash.  When defending the run Holliman seems to take bad angles and overruns opposing ball carriers.  He needs to do well in the 3-cone drill at the combine to show that his change of direction skills have improved and he needs to run well in the 40 also.
