2015 NFL Scouting Combine:   2/17/15 – 2/23/15 – NFL Network

Defensive backs – Work out on 2/23/15

5.  Jaquiski Tartt, SS – Samford: (6-1, 218) Projected Round – 3rd.  Jaquiski Tartt has tremendous size at safety and he uses that 218 pounds to deliver bone shattering hits on ball carriers.  His physical style of play is something that will come in handy against the big wide receivers and tight ends in coverage and against the run as well.

What to Watch for?  His 3-cone drill and 40-yard dash.  As good as Tartt is against the run he still has something to prove in pass coverage.  He’s a bigger safety, so NFL teams will want to see how well he moves and how fast he is, as this will come into play in how teams use him as a pass defender.
