1. Mike Smith, former head coach – Atlanta Falcons  –  Mike Smith was recently fired as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.  He was the winningest head coach the Falcons had as he complied a 66-46 record over seven seasons with the team, with a .589 winning percentage.

Prior to becoming the Falcons head coach, Smith was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars under Jack Del Rio.  the Jaguars had some very good defenses with Smith as the coordinator.  However, at this time it’s unknown if Smith will take time off or go right back into coaching.

The Redskins should gauge his interest, as a coach with Smith’s experience and knowledge could only be very helpful to the entire Redskins organization.
