3) Hire a new HC who fits into the philosophy of the new GM.
Good organizations work together well when they share the same philosophies and approach to the game. The HC and GM need to work together well so that the players acquired fit the systems that are run by the HC. You see that in Seattle, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, New England and any successful franchise.
Jay Gruden is not a good HC in my opinion. He does not get the best out of his players because he doesn’t show good leadership traits. He can develop into a good coach when he learns to adapt and correct his mistakes.

If Gruden was chosen by a GM that shared the same football philosophies as him then the players would fit his system better. That is not the case here in Washington. The best thing for the franchise is for the new GM to pick the HC that he can work well with.
