2.  How will Kirk Cousins handle the pressure of starting?

NFL Pundits and fans have speculated for the last three seasons how would Kirk Cousins perform if he were the Redskins starting quarterback.  Well now they will find out for certain as there will be no more excuses for Cousins not to perform at a consistent level.

More from Commanders News

Cousins advocates don’t like to mention that he’s been up and down and thrown just as many interceptions as touchdowns so far in his career, and his career completion percentage is only 57.6%.  Those aren’t very good statistics and they must improve for Cousins to continue to be the starter.

More mediocrity won’t cut it with Robert Griffin III due to return at some point this season.  And Cousins played well at home last week against a Jaguars defense that hadn’t prepared for him.  But can he have the same composure and effectiveness on the road in a hostile environment against a defense that has game planned against him?  This is something to watch for.
