5.  How will Brandon Meriweather impact the Redskins secondary?

Redskins strong safety Brandon Meriweather returns to the starting lineup this week after having served a two game suspension for an illegal hit on the Baltimore Ravens Torrey Smith.  Meriweather and Ryan Clark seemed to make a nice tandem in the preseason so we’ll see if that translates against the Eagles.

Bacarri Rambo started in place of Meriweather at strong safety and he wasn’t bad against the run but he struggled in coverage allowing two long TD passes in both weeks one and two.  This resulted in Rambo being released so Meriweather needs to have an immediate impact in coverage as the Eagles will try to attack this.

Also, Brandon Meriweather will be under the microscope of the officials.  As they will certainly be keen to call a penalty on him for illegal hits on defenseless receivers so Meriweather will need to keep his target area low.  Watch for this.
