1.  Santana Moss – Age: 35, 5-10, 190

Pros:

  • Moss is a fan favorite and is one of the most popular players on the team.
  • He has experience as a slot receiver and outside receiver.
  • A veteran leader, and respected in the locker room.
  • Can still return punts and kickoffs.

Cons:

  • His age.  Moss is 35 and not quite the speed receiver he used to be.
  • Even though was targeted only 78 times, he tied for the team lead in dropped passes with 7.
  • Can play the slot, but is better suited outside.  And there are better options on the outside.

Moss’ history with the team won’t save him a roster spot.  He will have to earn that with a great camp, and solidify it by outperforming younger receivers in the preseason.
