The Packers filled needs and got good value with their first two picks, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the first, and WR Davante Adams in the second.  But they lost value in the third by taking DT Khyri Thornton about one round too high.  The same thing with their other third round pick, in TE Richard Rogers.  The Packers rebounded in the fourth with OLB Carl Bradford, and they filled needs and good decent value with their later picks as well.

Grade:  B

Indianapolis Colts:

The Colts didn’t have a first round pick due to the Trent Richardson trade, so Ohio State OT Jack Mewhort was their first pick in the second round, and this was for good value.  They took Ole Miss wide receiver Donte Moncrief in the third round, and got excellent value for him.  The rest of their picks were for both need and good value.  However, I have to penalize them some for the Trent Richardson trade, as it affected their draft.

Grade:  B

New York Jets:

Calvin Pryor was good value and need pick in the first round as was TE Jace Amaro in the second.  WR Jalen Sunders was a bit of a reach in the fourth round but the other fourth round pick of WR Shaquelle Evans made up for it.  As did their third fourth pick of OG Dakota Dozier.  The Jets late round picks of Clemson QB Tajh Boyd and OLB Trevor Riley were excellent value picks.

Grade:  B

Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

The Buccaneers filled a need and got good value by adding WR’s Mike Evans at pick # 7, and with Robert Herron in round six.  Another need was filled with a good pick of TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the second round.  The Bucs had another good pick in the third round with RB Charles Sims.  and they filled out their draft with some good value picks in the fifth with offensive linemen Kadeem Edwards and Kevin Pamphile.  Very good draft for the Buccaneers, but the only thing that lowers the grade is they took no defensive players at all.

Grade:  B

Seattle Seahawks:

The Seahawks traded out of the first round for more picks and used most of them well.  They filled a need and got good value with WR Paul Richardson in the second.  But OT Justin Britt was taken a few rounds too high in the second.  As was DE Cassius Marsh in the fourth.  But then the Seahawks started hitting on need and value in the fourth with WR Kevin Norwood, and OLB Kevin Pierre Louis.  The back-end of this draft made up for a few low value picks.

Grade:  B

St. Louis Rams:

The Rams filled a need and got great value at pick # 2 in OT Greg Robinson, and the got great value with DT Aaron Donald, but he didn’t fill a need.  Great pick though.  That’s four first round picks they used on their defensive line.  They got good value and filled needs in the second and third rounds with CB Lamarcus Joyner, and RB Tre Mason.  The rest of their picks were just OK, including Michael Sam in the seventh round.
