More former Washington Redskins staff head to Los Angeles Rams

It appears the Los Angeles Rams will have a staff that might look and play like the Washington Redskins if this keeps up.  Reports indicate two more Redskins staff members have joined the team.

Aubrey Pleasant served as the assistant defensive backs coach for the team. He survived the firing of defensive coordinator Joe Barry and staff, only to rejoin Barry and former OC Sean McVay in Los Angeles. The Redskins had hoped to close Pleasant on a deal. However, according to Washington Post Reporter Master Tesfatsion ,  the two sides couldn’t come to terms. Pleasant’s future with the Redskins was to be a defensive backs coach.

The Redskins can reinvent themselves in 2017

Staff turnover happens in the NFL all the time. What I think is different is the fact that obvious improvements need to be made on both sides of the ball. So when we read of people leaving, we think, “Well maybe we can get someone in there with something different.” There’s nothing wrong with this type of thinking. The Redskins need something different in the front office – something that works.  The Los Angeles Rams can take whoever they want: They were 4-12 last season in the NFC West. The Redskins need to let a few more walk out the door and bring in some new faces and ideas. There’s nothing wrong with wanting that at all, unless you’re in the business of wasting time and watching scoreboards with no wins on them.

The Redskins were struggling in all areas. Any change of personnel, both on and off the field, should be welcomed for the 2017 season by head coach Jay Gruden.
