Commanders must control Jalen Tolbert's deep threat

The Dallas Cowboys have a plethora of wide receiving talent to trouble a weak Washington Commanders secondary. CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, along with tight end Jake Ferguson, are all game-breakers, but Jalen Tolbert is an underrated target.

Tolbert's game is all about stretching the field. The second-year pro has averaged over 24 yards per catch in two of his last six games. That's a nightmare for the Commanders given how many big plays they've conceded this season.

The Commanders should already be aware of Tolbert's talents. He burned them for 31 yards when the two teams met back on Thanksgiving.

Tolbert also showcased his vertical talents by snatching this jump ball against the Miami Dolphins.

An athlete with Tolbert's level of speed and leaping ability will be a problem for a Commanders' pass defense surrendering 7.7 yards per attempt. Getting Benjamin St-Juste back could help, but looks like a tall order all things considered.
