2. Dax Milne

There’s an argument to be had for Alex Erickson over Milne, but Milne caught everyone’s attention during training camp and parlayed that into a strong preseason. He tied Erickson for the team lead in catches (10), finished second in receiving yards (104) and boasted the highest-receiving grade at 71.7, according to PFF.

Milne has a penchant for getting open for his QBs and he caught 10 of 11 targets this preseason. Even for exhibitions, that 90.9% catch rate is absurd considering Milne worked with three different quarterbacks.

The 2021 seventh-round pick out of BYU is seemingly more comfortable in the slot, but his versatility was on full display in the three games. Per PFF, Milne lined up 24 times in the slot compared to 20 times on the boundary and his quarterbacks flaunted a 106.1 passer rating when targeting him.

Milne made the 53-man roster despite long odds and his preseason showing undoubtedly helped him make the final cut.
