2. Terry McLaurin scores two touchdowns

Wait, one of the best receivers in the NFL catching two touchdowns? Sure that isn’t the norm, but what makes it bold? How about the fact that Terry McLaurin is going up against one of the best cornerbacks in the game?

Stephon Gilmore only recently returned from injury, but he’s been utterly dominant over his first three games. It’s like the two-time All-Pro is out to send a message to Bill Belichick for trading him for pennies on the dollar, because he’s locked up every receiver that’s been brave enough to line up across from him.

McLaurin, however, is a different breed. The 25-year-old is a menace in contested catch situations, leading the NFL in catches and yards in that department. He might struggle to gain separation against Gilmore, who’s playing as good as any CB out there, but we need touchdowns, not yards, for this prediction to come through.

To put some perspective on Gilmore’s form, he currently owns a 90.6 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus. He’s been targeted just five times, has two interceptions on those five targets and is allowing an 11.7 passer rating.

No, that last one isn’t a typo.

Two scores might be asking for a lot from McLaurin in this matchup, but we know better than to doubt one of the best WRs in the spot.
