As the Washington Football Team enters the final two weeks of pre-draft preparation, there are still some prospects to meet and evaluate.
The Washington Football Team will be adding several new players to the roster in just over two weeks via the 2021 NFL Draft. With mock draft season currently reaching its climax, analysts and fans are looking at their own draft boards with a watchful eye. The last-minute adjustments to mocks are being made and every scenario is being considered.
However, some fans tend to overlook a few key aspects of the pre-draft process.
The process begins in the fall when NFL teams send their scouts to various games and watch the development of prospects from September to January – bowl games are obviously scouted as well.
When the FBS championship game is decided, each franchise begins a new process of how they evaluate players. Front office personnel and scouts will attend all-star games, travel to the NFL Combine (canceled the last two years), interview players, and be present for the many college “Pro Days”.
Today, we will list the players that Washington was reportedly able to meet at the Senior Bowl and have a few comments. We’ll list the offensive and defensive players separately. Washington has held virtual meetings with many different prospects – we’ll tell you who and have more comments.
Finally, we will post all of the team pro days that Washington reportedly has attended as well. You can use this guide as a reference before and during the draft.
Is there a Ryan Kerrigan replacement listed today? Can the Washington Football Team find a hidden gem or two from this list? Will the long-awaited franchise quarterback finally be selected? The answers could be listed here today. Let’s take a look at the players.

Washington will certainly add a free safety on day two of the draft.
Before free agency, the needs on offense seemed greater than defense. With some of the roster additions in recent weeks to the Washington Football Team, the need still tilts to the offense. However, the defense is still likely to receive plenty of attention in the draft.

The number of Pro Days the Washington Football Team attended seems rather high at first glance, but the numbers are actually lower than normal due to continued issues with the pandemic. It has been intimated that Washington was able to have a live feed to several Pro Days, but the programs are unknown.

Additional Thoughts
The Washington Football Team had representation at the Hula Bowl and the recent HBCU Combine. There is no word of team meetings at either of these events, but it is likely that several contacts and interviews were conducted.
The front office has likely had more virtual zoom meetings than what we currently know. Such information is difficult to obtain and is usually shared by the prospect himself on social media. If any other meetings become known, we’ll share them in any upcoming mock drafts. Also, if additional information is discovered about Pro Days attended, we’ll share the details with you as well.
The number of prospects that franchises contact during the off-season (through various levels of contact) is massive and it is difficult to find each detail. The information you see here today came from social media, word of mouth, various sources, and through an exhaustive search process that started three months ago. We’re glad to share it with you. Hopefully, it will aid you in your own mocks and research as the draft draws closer.
We have many more mock drafts coming to you very soon, including the positional mocks that will feature tight ends and offensive tackles. The Washington Football Team is another day closer to adding players from the world of college football.
Today’s article is a bit different than what you typically see at Riggo’s Rag, but feel free to use it as one of your draft guides. With the information that has been shared today, you will have keen insights into the new roster additions.
