87. . Cornerback. Carolina Panthers. Caleb Farley. 8. player

Recent buzz has Caleb Farley plummeting down the draft board. On one hand, it makes sense. Farley has a sizable injury history, and he opted out in 2020, depriving scouts of an extra year of tape. Still, Farley is a very good cornerback prospect, and in a scheme that values athleticism like Carolina’s, he’s perhaps the best early fit.

He’s not my CB1, but he’s close. Farley has an incredibly enticing combination of size and athleticism. His closing speed is excellent, and he has the length to be disruptive, both at the catch point and at the line of scrimmage. For Carolina, who needs more help at CB, he’s a high-upside investment.
