. Center. Kansas City Chiefs. Creed Humphrey. 31. player. 124

Everyone penciled in offensive line as the Chiefs’ top need after the Super Bowl. Then the Chiefs went ahead and released both of their starting tackles, Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz. Now, their line is in dire need of maintenance, and while tackle seems to be the top priority, center was the selection at this juncture.

Because the 2021 NFL Draft is much deeper at tackle than it is on the interior, it makes sense for the Chiefs to pick Creed Humphrey here, then stack up at tackle later on. Humphrey is worthy of being the first center off the board. He recently tested out of this world at the Oklahoma pro day; his unofficial numbers would make him the most athletic center ever tested. Even beyond that, Humphrey is a multi-year starter with excellent leverage and strength. He has perennial All-Pro potential in Kansas City.
