Score Prediction

A lot depends on health for the Washington Football Team. If they can get back their starting linebackers, their defense should be able to mesh against a sneaky dangerous Panthers offense. And if Alex Smith gets back, the offense should execute at a level well enough to withstand.

It’ll likely be another ugly game, as a young, defensive-oriented team goes up against another young squad. But the Washington Football Team is playing for something, and that should factor in this late. The defense played at a respectable level last week against Russell Wilson, even without Holcomb and Pierre-Louis. Carolina’s offensive line might be better, but they’ve been inconsistent, regardless.

I like Ron Rivera to pull out the win in the revenge game. There have been distractions this week, but Rivera seems to be doing everything he can to keep the focus on Carolina. In must-win spots, Rivera has been solid this year, and against the 4-10  Panthers, odds are decent that that will continue.

Score Prediction: WAS 20, CAR 17

Of course, if they lose, you can blame me.
