No. 4

Positive No. 4

J.D. McKissic was crucial to Sunday’s victory over the 49ers and while he didn’t score a touchdown, the former Arkansas State standout provided some key rushes and receptions.  He carried the ball 11 times for 68 yards and caught two passes for 18 yards.

McKissic totaled 29 yards to start the second half on a key drive that ended with a significant field goal.  Washington would need all the points possible on offense as the game became very close at the end.  The team obviously misses the talents of Antonio Gibson, but J.D. McKissic provided enough of his own talent on Sunday to help fuel a much needed victory.

Negative No. 4

The following players appeared in Sunday’s game, but had little to no impact at all: Wes Martin, Marcus Baugh, Casey Toohill, Javon Leake, Keith Ismael, Troy Apke, Jared Norris, Khaleke Hudson, and Fabian Moreau.

Some of these players are needed for depth, but others seem as if they are on their last days as a member of the Washington Football Team.  This is not much of a negative, but it is interesting.  Players on this list who could be gone after this season include Martin, Baugh, Leake, Apke, Norris, and Moreau.  Interesting stat:  Fabian Moreau played one defensive snap on Sunday.
