Final Thoughts

Here is a list of players who receive honorable mentions for this Thanksgiving game:  Logan Thomas, Peyton Barber, Morgan Moses, Brandon Scherff, David Sharpe, Tress Way, Tim Settle, Cole Holcomb, Jeremy Reaves, Kamren Curl, and Chase Young.

Narrowing the list for this Thanksgiving Day game to four players was extremely difficult.  It was a total team effort and while we are always tempted to give the coaches one of these awards, please keep in mind that we do grade them each week.  We’re pretty sure you will like the upcoming grades for the Cowboys game.

Something magical happened as the game was winding down.  Did you notice it?  It was special.  The players, especially the rookies, have bought into Ron Rivera’s system.  You could see it on their faces.  You could see it by their actions and demeanor.  They have become a team.  A team that is unified.

The final five games will have some ups and downs, but make no mistake about it – this is a team that loves one another and believes in one another.  For the first time in many years, perhaps a generation or more, they have become a football team.

The Week 12 awards are in the books and we hope to do this again in the coming days.
