The Verdict

The arguments for signing Dak Prescott make a lot of sense.  The arguments for not signing Dak Prescott make a lot of sense.  Both arguments are fully legitimate.  So which one is the right solution?

Prescott will have a good impact going forward after he recovers.  If it’s for the Cowboys or any other team, his future is likely very bright.  That could bode well for Washington if he inks a deal in Ashburn.  Fans would be mixed early on, but would likely warm up to Prescott quickly if he is wildly successful.

Here is the final verdict.  The Washington Football Team should stick to their rebuild plans and not entertain the idea of Dak Prescott in a Burgundy and Gold uniform.  A true rebuild doesn’t consider quick fixes or flashy signings.  A rebuild takes time and it requires a culture change on all levels.

Dak Prescott would be a good signing if Washington was well removed from any rebuild or re-tooling of the roster.  This is the ultimate reason why Washington should stick to their plans for the future and avoid the temptation to sign Prescott.
