2. WR Terry McLaurin

Terry McLaurin is a player to watch every week, but this matchup, in particular, is one that should favor the young, talented receiver.

McLaurin is getting to face a Cowboys defense that is allowing 236 passing yards per game and has allowed the sixth-most total yards in the league. The Cowboys have not gotten good play out of any part of their defense this year, but their secondary has been particularly suspect.

After losing Byron Jones in free agency, Dallas doesn’t have a true No. 1 corner yet. Trevon Diggs, a second-round rookie out of Alabama, has looked good at times, but he’s still developing as a player. Still, he may be the best the Cowboys have and he may be asked to cover McLarin often on Sunday. If that happens, McLaurin should take advantage of the young corner.

McLaurin has been productive during his career despite catching passes from five different quarterbacks. This matchup is one of the best ones he will face all season and Kyle Allen will likely look his way frequently to ensure that McLaurin can stay involved in the game-plan.

Between his speed, route-running, and yards after the catch ability, McLaurin could have his biggest game of the season against Dallas. And frankly, he should. Scott Turner needs to scheme up some plays to get McLaurin involved in the offense early and often and if Allen and McLaurin develop a connection, the two should do well in Week 7.
