Washington Football Team Stud: WR Terry McLaurin

Another week, another stud nomination from Terry McLaurin. As long as he’s healthy, he should be a mainstay on this list in a positive way.

Against the Ravens, McLaurin continued to put forth an excellent effort and serve as the No. 1 receiver for Washington. He grabbed a season-high 10 catches and was able to total 118 yards despite taking on a solid corner duo of Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters. And, oh yeah, he was dealing with a thigh injury as well.

McLaurin was effective throughout the game, but his best play came late. He caught a 39-yard pass from Dwayne Haskins to set up Washington’s final touchdown of the day. On the play, McLaurin beat his man and fully extended airborne to make the excellent catch.

More from Commanders News

McLaurin is good in all facets of the game. With the ball in his hands, he’s elusive. He can make anyone miss and that’s why he’s one of the league’s best in terms of yards after the catch. He also has great speed and is an elite route runner, and that’s why he’s able to get open so frequently.

If McLaurin continues to play like this, he will soon establish himself as one of the NFL’s top receivers. He’s already well on his way and if Haskins can continue to improve and give him more opportunities to make big plays, then McLaurin’s path to stardom will be accelerated.

It will be fun to see what McLaurin can do next week against Jalen Ramsey and the Rams. If he has another big game, his star will only continue to rise.
