No. 3 – WR Isaiah Wright

Isaiah Wright saw the field on offense for the first time last Sunday, and conventional wisdom says he’ll see it again this week. Not only did he show flashes in limited action, but the team’s health at wide receiver could force him into an increased role.

On Thursday, an initial injury status update was released, and the Washington Football Team was noticeably strapped at wide receiver. Steven Sims was a non-participant on Thursday, while Terry McLaurin and Dontrelle Inman, the team’s top performers from Week 3, were both limited.

If Sims can’t go, and if McLaurin and Inman aren’t one-hundred percent, then Wright will be relied upon again to provide a spark and a yards-after-catch threat for Dwayne Haskins.

Wright, an undrafted free agent out of Temple, only logged four catches for 24 yards and a carry for six yards in Week 3, but he was targeted six times, and he showed off some dynamic ability in short ranges and as a separator. He also displayed the versatility necessary to move in motion and play from anywhere, and one has to imagine that Scott Turner will indulge in that moving forward.

Wright is following the example of Steven Sims and providing an impact early, and if Washington’s injury situation doesn’t get better before Sunday, Wright could be primed for a relatively big performance.
