Washington Football Team: Five players to watch in Week 2 vs. ARI
By Ian Cummings
No. 2 – WR Terry McLaurin
Terry McLaurin kicked off the 2020 season with a modest start, amassing 61 yards on five catches in Week 1 against the Eagles. While he was the leading receiver on the team, his output paled in comparison to his rookie campaign, where McLaurin took over certain games with his speed and dynamism.
Even when McLaurin didn’t see the ball come his way, there were times when his speed helped open up other opportunities for the offense. We didn’t see that symbiotic relationship as much in the first game of the year, and while things should clear up as the offense continues to mesh, McLaurin’s impact will be needed regardless.
The Cardinals boast a star-studded offense, with playmakers at almost every position, and if Washington’s standouts can’t bring more to the table this time around, then there’s a very good chance that the Cardinals might pull away before the game’s conclusion.
The Washington Football Team’s offense can’t afford to have a slow start in Week 2, and consequently, McLaurin will be relied upon to make a difference from the very first whistle.
