Special Teams

Nick Sundberg is the only long snapper currently on the roster.  That is all you need to know.

Prediction for Sundberg:  He is the long snapper for 2020 and the only way that changes is due to an injury.

Tress Way is a superb punter and he is locked into his roster spot — just like Sundberg.

Prediction for Way:  62 punts for a 49.3 yard average, six touchbacks, 16 inside the 20-yard line, 1-1 passing for 28 yards

Dustin Hopkins is the only placekicker on the roster and his status is locked in as well.

Prediction for Hopkins:  27-31 field goals, 36-37 extra points, 79 kickoffs for 62 touchbacks

Steven Sims, Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic could be battling for kick returner duties, but all three could be sharing the duties throughout the season.  That is what we will go with for now.

Prediction for the three returners:  24.2 yard average, two touchdowns

Punt returners could be the same story.  The three aforementioned players and Trey Quinn could share in the duties.

Prediction for the four returners: 11.4 average, one touchdown, one fumble lost
