Ryan Bee

Experience: 2nd season

Draft Status: 2019 undrafted free agent

2019 Stats: One game, no statistics accrued

2020 Outlook: Last season, Ryan Bee was considered a potential sleeper to make the roster. The 6-foot-7 lineman was productive in each of his four years at Marshall and had the makings of a quality backup.

Bee made the practice squad to start the season but eventually was promoted to the 53-man roster. He didn’t see much action but he has the frame and skill-set needed to be a solid rotational player. He’ll need to impress his new coaching staff, but thanks to his size and versatility, he could make the team.

Expected Role: With Brantley opting out, Bee becomes the favorite as the fifth defensive tackle/fifth edge rusher option. Bee’s size will allow him to play anywhere on the line, so that versatility could impress the coaching staff. And with back-end roster candidates, versatility and special teams ability become the all-important important tiebreaker.

Status: Roster hopeful. Bee will probably remain in Washington on the practice squad if he doesn’t make the team. But if he has improved after last season, he should have a great chance to make the team and occupy the spot that Brantley was expected to hold.
