Day 2

Round 3, Pick 66: Auburn CB Noah Igbinoghene

I’ve mocked Noah Igbinoghene to the Redskins a couple times now, so it comes as no surprise that he’s here again. I don’t think he should be available at this point, but given the top-end depth of the cornerback class, anything is possible.

Igbinoghene is a top-20 player on my board, with the outrageous athleticism and tireless motor of a true game-breaking cornerback. He’s still very young, not yet 21 years old, and he’s still learning the cornerback position, so his upside may legitimately be the most plentiful in the class. He has the versatility to play both inside and outside, and he’d be a supremely valuable infusion of talent in the Redskins secondary.

Since Igbinoghene is not a new name to regular readers, and since he might not be available at this pick, here are some other potential matches on the defensive side of the ball at No. 66:

  • Appalachian State LB Akeem Davis-Gaither
  • Mississippi State LB Willie Gay Jr.
  • Alabama CB Trevon Diggs
  • Ohio State CB Damon Arnette
  • California S Ashtyn Davis
