Post-free agency full NFL two-round mock: Redskins trade down
By Ian Cummings
With Marshal Yanda now retired, the Baltimore Ravens have a need on the offensive interior. They have two returning young players who should factor into the starting equation in Bradley Bozeman and Patrick Mekari, but one of the interior spots will be left vacant by the time the 2020 NFL Draft hits.
Luckily for the Ravens, being situated at the bottom of the first round is a good situation from which to add offensive line talent, as this year’s class is likely to slide a bit, due both to talent elsewhere and the lack of a clear-cut No. 1 interior blocker.
For Baltimore, Michigan’s Cesar Ruiz is a good fit here, as he upholds the offense’s emphasis on versatility. Ruiz has the athleticism and power to play all three interior positions, and he’s mobile enough to be a help in space, something the Ravens value in their linemen.
