Washington Redskins: Four possible tight end trade targets
No. 3 – Giants TE Evan Engram
Like Howard, Evan Engram was also a first-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Engram shined, gathering 722 yards and six touchdowns. In the next two seasons, Engram gained 1,044 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 89 receptions.
With Jason Garrett as the new offensive coordinator in New York, one speculation is that he could sign former cowboys tight end Jason Witten. Witten and Garrett have been together for the past 12 seasons, not including Witten’s one-year hiatus to broadcasting.
If Witten does become a member of the Giants, Engram could be a trade option on a team that has plenty of holes to fill. While Engram may require the most draft capital to pursue, he is also probably the best tight end on this list. If the Redskins think the player is worth the price, Engram would be an instant starter on this team.
