54. . Wide Receiver. Philadelphia Eagles. Justin Jefferson. 21. player

Last year the Eagles receiving corps was something to behold. The team simply couldn’t stay healthy at the position and at one point, Greg Ward was literally the only healthy receiver on the roster.

No, seriously. They had to play a lot of three tight end sets with one guy split out wide. It was a disaster and frankly, it was a miracle that they made the playoffs with these issues.

In a deep receiver class, the Eagles are absolutely going to invest in the position this year. They simply need to. They can’t rely on the injury-prone Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson and while Ward was solid and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside has upside, they need one more option to be a true starter for them.

Justin Jefferson fits the bill. The LSU receiver had a prolific 2019 campaign while playing for the national champs. Jefferson caught a whopping 111 passes for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. He has a big 6-foot-3, 192-pound frame and should be able to make contested catches while also serving as a downfield threat.

Jefferson would be a nice fit for the Eagles as he has the potential to be a No. 1 receiver thanks to his length and explosive ability. If he does well at the NFL Combine, he should lock himself into the top-25 picks, but the Eagles seem like a perfect landing spot.
