Everything is on the table

The main point is this: Chase Young is amazing. If you get to take him, you should see that as a privilege. But there’s a non-zero chance he’s a bust, or at least not a transformational player.

Those who advocate for Chase Young while vilifying all trade possibilities are totally unwilling to acknowledge the possibility that Young isn’t the re-incarnation of Lawrence Taylor.

There are other amazing possibilities available with the asset that is the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft. The Redskins, and all of their fans, should be open to consider all of the options before landing on one. Especially when nobody in their right mind thinks this team is one player away from Super Bowl contention. Nobody.

So maybe Chase Young makes the biggest impact of all the options. Or maybe, the greater long-term impact comes from picking up 2-4 players in the excellent category.

Next. If not Chase Young, who should Redskins pick?. dark

I sure hope they leave no stone unturned.
