Stud No. 5 – Fans who wanted to be heard

Dud: Dan Snyder’s listening skills

It was a startlingly familiar scene for the Dan Snyder-led Redskins on Sunday, as the away crowd easily intermingled with the home crowd and flushed the stands with midnight green. The home fans that were there didn’t seem so entertained, either. Midway through the game, a subset of fans erupted into a chant directed at Snyder.

For an owner who doesn’t use social media or make himself available to the public at all, going into his domain was the only way to even have a chance at being heard. These fans succeeded in bringing the message to Snyder, but it’s unlikely that anything comes of it.

They may have been heard. But for their desires to be acted upon, Snyder would need to listen. And that hasn’t happened in 20 years.
