1. QB Dwayne Haskins

This is the easiest answer to this question. Quarterback is the most important position on the field for NFL teams. And finding one who can win and elevate the play of his teammates is critical.

It’s time to find out if Dwayne Haskins has the ability to do that.

Haskins has only played in parts of three games this season, and he has only started once. His start, which came before the bye week against the Bills, went relatively well, as he avoided turnovers that plagued him in his earlier action. Does he still have a long way to go? Yes. But he has shown improvement. And that’s key for young quarterbacks.

Over the course of the Redskins’ final seven games, the team is going to have to see exactly what they have in Haskins. And they have confirmed that he will be the starter for the rest of the season. This stretch will be important in gauging how well he can develop week to week and adjust on the fly. Again, he’s still a rookie, but if he can continue to improve, that will give the team hope that they may have a quality starter for their squad moving forward.

Haskins could end up improving a lot. Or he could plateau and bring up some questions about his future and his ability to be a franchise quarterback. For that reason, he’s the No. 1 player to watch for the rest of the season. There’s no doubt about it.
