16. . Wide Receiver. Buffalo Bills. Laviska Shenault. 26. player

The Buffalo Bills offense, statistically, has not been flawless this season. But there’s so much inherent potential with an offensive attack that contains the likes of Josh Allen, Devin Singletary, John Brown, and Dawson Knox. With one or two more pieces, this unit could be complete.

Going wide receiver here makes sense for Buffalo; they have the deep threat in Brown, and they have the slot receiver who can gain separation easily in Cole Beasley. Now they need the dynamic run-after-catch threat who can take passes at all three levels and make the most out of every play.

Colorado’s Laviska Shenault fits that profile well, and it’s only right that he goes from the Buffaloes to the Bills. This match makes sense, as Pro Football Network’s Matt Valdovinos wrote in a recent mock draft of his own:

"Shenault’s stock is extremely hard to predict. Teams will love his physical traits but will be scared by his constant injuries and bad usage. The University of Colorado has done him no favors by the way they play him. The Bills are a team that can afford to take a chance. They’re lacking star offensive powers and are currently being carried by their defense. A Josh Allen-Devin Singletary-Laviska Shenault trio would be full of potential, and damn hard to tackle."

The Bills would probably want to double-dip at receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft if they go this route, due to the relative uncertainty surrounding Shenault. But as long as they’re patient with him, just as they have been with Josh Allen, the returns could be very fruitful.
